Yeah, it really is a bit early. But hey, I’ve seen Christmas stuff in the stores already – so why not get started on Christmas books?
I used pre-made covers for this one and managed to mess up the front cover when some glue went astray, so I had to cover it with paper. I’m rather glad I did, as I like the design of the paper a little better than the pre-printed one.
Last year at Christmas time, the awesome and grungy-esque Tim Holtz made 12 holiday tags as his fans followed along. I displayed the tags on my cabinet at work and they’ve been sitting in a little silk bag since then. After looking through them for ideas, I decided to use one on this book. I enhanced it a little with glitter and replaced the silver elements with gold ones to match the tapestry ribbon. Voila! My work was half done.
The papers inside are by K&Company; lovely soft greens and reds. It will make a beautiful holiday memory book! 🙂
