Done! (Almost)

Yesterday, experiencing what was apparently a bout of precognition, I said to myself, “Wouldn’t it be great if we got an email this afternoon from the Sketchbook Project people extending the deadline?”

Later that afternoon, we got an email from the Sketchbook Project people extending the deadline.

Thank goodness!  I was SO tired after work last night, and otherwise would have had to try and get it all done when I would have rather fallen into bed early.  So, THANK YOU, Sketchbook Project people, for letting me fall into bed early.  🙂

I finished the last spread this morning, which, oddly, ended up being the first in the book.  (I skipped around rather than doing each page in order.)  Now all I need do is decorate the cover, type an “intro” for the inside cover and put something on the last page.  That “something” will in all likelihood be a few quotes about stories and storytelling.  The new mailing deadline is Tuesday, which gives me two more days to get all this done.  It’s so nice to be able to relax!

So, without further ado, here is the last (first!) spread in the book:

Yes, it’s an alien getting an eye test.  (Weird?  Eh, maybe a little.  Not any weirder than an incompetent burglar bringing home a pregnant pig, that’s what I always say.)
