How about GRUNGE? Oh yeah, baby…that exclusive-to-Tim word is back, and we’re on page 54 of Compendium of Curiosities, tormenting grungeboard and having a great time! Many thanks to the lovely Linda, who guides us each week through this awesome book.
Didn’t have to ruin a tag this time; I got everything right on the first try, even though I didn’t have the “official” tools mentioned in the instructions. One thing we mixed-media artists are good at: makin’ do with what we’ve got!
This tag is almost Totally Tim, as I used his papers for the background and photo and grungeboard for the hinges. I sanded the brads (which had been brown) and dabbed a little Worn Lipstick Distress Ink here and there on the background to add some color. The flowers, which started out white, were “grunged up” with Old Paper Distress Ink. And yes, that’s Tim’s tissue tape (torn in half) holding down the photo.
My tag book is getting VERY fat! 🙂

You did a fabulous job on the technique, and gave those grunge pieces a gorgeous home. That photo is one of my favorites from the Lost and Found pack, and your use of the papers and flowers and Tissue Tape is brilliant.
I bet that book is getting HUGE! Just think– there are still 14 more techniques to add to it!
