It’s always so nice to finish up a long three-day work weekend. It means next weekend I’ll not be at work (a good thing) and there are only two work days left in the week. (12-hour shifts are kinda tricky.)
Tuesdays are usually quite productive, art-wise. By then, I’ve spent the previous three days doing left-brained kind of tasks, and the right side of my brain, having been beaten into submission far too long, comes bursting out to send me into a frenzy of creativity. (Not literally, of course. Let’s try to avoid any visuals of bursting brains here.)
So I got a couple of swap projects done this morning and still even had time to play four holes of Fairway Solitaire, a game I’ve been completely hooked on for the last several months. (Don’t say I didn’t warn you if you try it, though I will mention you can download the game and play it for an hour for free before you decide whether to purchase. Not that I’m enabling anyone. Heh, heh.)
This ATC was made for a private swap between myself and Jenn, another Swap-Bot member. In return, she’s going to send me some German glass glitter, which I’ve been jonesin’ to have for quite some time! I made it using an acrylic ATC blank, so it’s very dimensional. Which, of course, you can’t tell from the photo.

This one is called “Loves to Dance, Loves to Fly.”
I also finished up an Altoids tin (these are so much fun!); there wasn’t a particular theme for this swap, so I was pretty much free to do as I pleased. It’s not that obvious in the photo, but the side of the box is covered with a length of light yellow eyelash yarn. Interestingly enough, an Altoids tin is just about exactly the size of an ATC. In other words, small.

Finally found a use for (a tiny bit of) that old roll of silver Magic Mesh.

As always Lisa, I love your work! The ATC is so sweet and I love what you’ve called it!! And I love your Altoid Tin — aren’t they wonderful to decorate?!? The people who are to receive these will be thrilled!

Lisa, thanks for your super cool quiltie I got in the Shades of Spring swap by Lenna. I loved the buttons and the the ribbon and the slightly diagonal stitching on the lower blue fabric, and also the butterfly antennae are really clever. I loved getting others work, it is inspiring to me to see how others do things, and for some reason its all that more interesting that it’s tangible and not just in a magazine, if that makes any sense, though I DO love looking at magazine photos too.
